Food Photography

From beauty to fashion, we moved on from modelling to working with Food. I worked with a French Theme. I enjoyed this project, learning to work with food, how to light food, how to place food. The main part of this workshop, I used my camera as my eyes, allowing me to see how my image would look before I had taken the shot, making sure everything was in the correct place.

my original image was a little to bright, I have done minor changes, to allow myself and the public to see what my original images should look like. I have changed the saturation, giving it that warmer feeling and inviting. The colour balance for more of a natural feel to the food. While using a burn tool to take out the over exposed parts of the lighting and adding detail to the food.

please feel free to comment for any improvements....

Fashion Photography

Next project I had to produce was based on Fashion. The workshop was put together by Talia White, a very successful lady, who I had pleasure to learn from and see how she got to where she is today.

My original images came out to pale, by using an auto white balance, it made the model look more pale and making the background looking washed out. The images I have uploaded are edits, with small minor touching, this is what I hoped my images would turn out like first time. please feel free to leave comments on how I can improve for future.

Beauty Photography

At the start of a studio project, we had to produce beauty shots while working with a professional model with the help from Claire Seville.

My original images didn't turn out how I wanted, my white balance set to flash gave them a yellow contrast, making them look too bright on the face. The images I have uploaded are edited, showing you the public, what the images should look like with very little editing skills touching them up. please feel free to comment, telling me what you like, what improvements I could make etc ....

Circus Street Exhibition - Brighton....

Friday 17th October, Brighton Exhibition. Circus Street was holding three Exhibitions in one space. A warehouse. what I enjoyed about this exhibition was the layout and how the images were presented on open boards....

The Exhibition had a clear understanding to what was being shown and I felt like with the open boards, it allowed one's life to be exposed for a short time. I felt like with the presentation, it fitted the  purpose of documentary.

surrounding the Exhibition was Graffiti. Being held in an warehouse and showing an Exhibition based on Culture, I saw the Graffiti as the warehouse's culture. Graffiti is art surrounded by art produced on Photography.

Art is in many ways, it's what we want to see is allows it to be art.
